Umit Kutluk was born in Turkey in 1981. He spent several years working and crafting his skills in the Turkish fashion trade. After developing a comprehensive understanding of textiles, manufacturing and sales in the Turkish market, the time was ripe for change.

Umit moved to Dublin in 2007 after completing a degree in Textile Engineering in Istanbul. In order to realise his ambition of becoming a successful fashion Designer, he enrolled in the Grafton Academy and studied  where he graduated in 2011. Dublin has now became home to this rising star. Over the last couple of years, Umit has gone on to win several Irish Fashion Industry awards and is now recognised as one of the leading lights in the industry.

Umits passion for design can be seen in all his collections, none more so than his haute couture. His designs just ooze elegance and style. Its easy to see why the Dublin based designer is causing such a stir within the Irish Fashion Industry. Industry observers have been quick to recognise the quality and attention to detail in all of Kutluks work. All of his pieces are a fine example of skilled workmanship and sophisticated embellishment.

Umit 5

His showroom and studio are located at 27 Merrion Square. This beautiful Georgian building hosted his first solo fashion show and providing a beautiful backdrop for the designer to showcase his ongoing collections. The future certainly looks bright for this Turkish designer who continues to Wow fashionistas around the world. We are waiting in anticipation for his next collection.
