Navan Music Snobs…Seize The Day!

4 Dec

Music Snob

Navan is not what the average music fan might call a destination, but this Christmas Carpe Diem is opening to cater to the tastes of local music snobs and those looking for something different.

Set to run for six nights over Christmas; December 21st , 22nd, 26th, 28th, 29th, 31st the space will occupy the penthouse of The Central on Trimgate Street.

The organisers won’t tie the music of the new space to any one particular genre, but will provide an alternative to the cheesy rehashed playlists in nightclubs and pubs around the town.

CarpeDiem Navan

“You will hear 90’s, hip hop, new hip hop, progressive house, funky house, old school classic house, glitch, mash up, indie hip hop, rock hop! Zero cheese!” they said.

With over 700 requests for guestlist since launching last week, organisers reckon it will be quite an exclusive spot as so many people are looking for something creative and new, the demand will exceed capacity.

The glass elevator up to the eclectic space is bound to be rammed with Navan’s version of scene kids, creatives, tastemakers and maybe the odd blogger…

CarpeDiem will offer a glad respite to many from smelly carpets and chokey smoke machines.

The organiser said “There is also a chillout area sprayed with sofas and decorated with slogans from music industries from around the world.

“We have an awesome light show and visuals in store and awesome sets ranging from reggae hop to proggy house. Its time we had somewhere to go.
”

See yis there so!

Doors are set to open at 9pm, and you can follow CarpeDiem on Facebook.
